I LOVE a good Miracle testimony, don’t you? I just love hearing about when God heals people’s sight, hearing, legs, cancer, of course the list goes on and on. I’ve have been in the church community my whole life and I have not ever got sick of hearing about God doing yet another miracle. I can’t get enough.
I read a book recently about a man called Surprise, yes, that is really his name, who God has given many languages miraculously. He would just walk into a foreign country or region with the intent of telling them about Jesus and (quite to his surprise) he could suddenly speak the local language! Wow! That is exciting stuff!
I’m going to leave you with a miracle story today and of all the miracle testimonies I have heard, this one is probably my favorite. Do you know why? Because it was simple and practical. Did you know God cares about the simple and the practical aspects of your life too? We are often telling each other just how big our God is and that nothing is too much for him, but it warms my heart so much to also know, that nothing is too small for Him either.
“One day the group of prophets came to Elisha and told him, “As you can see, this place where we meet with you is too small. Let’s go down to the Jordan River, where there are plenty of logs. There we can build a new place for us to meet.” “All right,” he told them, “go ahead.” “Please come with us,” someone suggested. “I will,” he said. So he went with them. When they arrived at the Jordan, they began cutting down trees. But as one of them was cutting a tree, his ax head fell into the river. “Oh, sir!” he cried. “It was a borrowed ax!” “Where did it fall?” the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface. “Grab it,” Elisha said. And the man reached out and grabbed it.”
